"For my entire adult life I had experienced unexplained stomach pain and grown so accustomed to it that I figured it was normal. After several inconclusive visits to the GI, I decided to enlist the help of someone with a more holistic approach. Working with Christine helped me to finally determine the culprit of my discomfort. With her guidance I followed a strict elimination diet and learned that I have a sensitivity/intolerance to gluten and dairy. Christine provided me with a detailed outline of the diet, many helpful recipes and important information about what to do while on a cleanse, such as which supplements to take. But more importantly, she gave me support, encouragement, and a listening ear through a very difficult and trying time. Each session we set goals for me to attain over the next two weeks. The goals were always realistic ones, but even if I fell short of meeting them, Christine focused on what I had managed to accomplish and made me feel that I had made progress. And did I mention we did all this over the phone? Since I live in New York, the option of phone sessions worked perfectly for me and proved to be as beneficial as in-person counseling. Plus, I got to look forward to the care packages Christine sent me to supplement and enhance our sessions- books, recipes, and helpful tools I still use today. Food intolerances and allergies are very difficult to live with, especially when you're used to a life of eating with no restrictions. It required a lot of discipline and a complete lifestyle change, but with Christine's help I got through it and feel educated and armed with the information I need to continue feeling healthy. " I had been thinking of making some changes in my life primarily as I had stopped running eight years before and had been putting on weight 3 to 5 pounds a year for each of the eight years. I was overweight, not terribly so, but enough to look at myself and say that’s it, enough is enough. I am a CPA and Christine came in to talk about starting her business and as I listened I found myself lucky to have found a coach for my journey back to being fit. I noted her approach to be somewhat low key but based upon sound fundamentals. I was successful in achieving my goal for the six months of 15 pounds. I continue to follow her guidance and have made life long (I hope) changes in my eating habits. I continue to loose weight but it’s more like 1 pound a month rather than the 2 to 3 that I was loosing during the first six months. I thought her approach had both a humanistic side as well as a scientific base. Christine’s approach was to the individual person’s needs and not one “out of the box”. I now feel armed to continue on my own. I thought enough of her program to suggest she start a follow up program of say 2 visits a year which I am signed up for. That way I can get monthly reminders (her monthly newsletter) of good habits and stop in for a check up every six months. "
